10 Questions for Crystal Anderson 1. Why did you decide to join SEER Interactive? After months of searching for the right position, the ad for the open position at SEER immediately captured my attention. From there I was not let down, the interview process and everyone I meet during it blew me away. I could tell that it was a group of people who were passionate about their job and company and I knew that it would be a great fit. 2. What are your responsibilities at SEER? Initially I was hired to manage SEO accounts and now I also manage PPC accounts. Very quickly I learned everyone here pitches in to help each other out whenever and where ever possible. 3. Do you have any favorite Paid Search programs or tools that you would recommend to others? There are a lot of Paid Search tools out there from keyword research tools, to clickfraud tools, etc. I think the most important thing in this ever-changing industry is to keep your self up to speed by constantly reading industry blogs, newsletters, etc. 4. What do you do when you are not at work? I enjoy spending my time with family and friends and as much of it as I can outdoors. I spend a lot of time during my summers at the shore. I also love to travel and I enjoy cooking (which is a big shock to my family now). 5. Tell us more about your volunteer work. I enjoy volunteering with many organizations. I like to volunteer at as many runs/walks/events as I can that allow me to fulfill my desire not only to help people but allow me to be outside and be active (Race for the Cure, March of Dimes, etc) 6. What was your first job? It was at a local bakery. I had to be there at 5 am on Saturdays and spent the day frosting donuts, cakes, etc. I think it completely ruined my appetite for sweets (which I get ridiculed for at work ). 7. What would you be doing if you were not at SEER? Great question! I was extremely lucky right out of college and I fell into the interactive advertising space. I immediately become captivated by it. If I wasn’t at SEER I would more than likely still be working in the industry or maybe back in school fulltime for my MBA. 8a.What is your favorite place you have ever been to? Spain, without a doubt. I’ve studied abroad there and it took all I had to come back! 8b.Where would you like to go? Of course I always will have the desire to return to Spain, but traveling is a favorite pastime for me, put me on a plane and I’ll go anywhere (warm that is)! 9. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be? Over-analyzing. I tend to drive myself crazy with it. In some instances over-analyzing helps me brainstorm additional ideas that I may have otherwise not been able to come up with, however in everyday quick decision making I tend to read too deeply into things when all I need is a simple yes or no. 10. What would you change about the Paid Search industry? It’s a very volatile industry. Some days it causes for me to want to pull my hair out, but then the next day things look great! It sometimes causes for added stresses but at the same time, it never ceases to amaze me and keeps me on my toes and continuously learning.
